All Stars Camp!

All Star camps will be held for the Juniors, Majors and Minors leagues at the following times and fields.

  • 9-10yr old baseball: Odegaard Fields, tba, 5:30-8:00pm
  • 9-10yr old softball: Bonner School, tba, 5:30pm
  • 11-12yr old baseball: Mt Jumbo East Field, tba, 5:30-8:30pm
  • 13-14yr old baseball: Kelly Pines, tba, 6:00pm
  • Junior/Senior softball: Bonner School, tba, 6:30pm
The camps are open to all players wishing to better their skills. All Star players will need proof of residency (3 items with your address on them). Softballers need this at tryouts. A parent needs to be present at the beginning of the first day of camp. Please arrive early to sign in and warm up.

Evaluations for All Star teams will take place during the camps.

All Star Coaches!

The following are approved by your board to either coach or manage all stars for 2008.

  • Minor Boys: Bill Richards Manager, Mike Monsos, Ron Mosbach
  • Minor Girls: Bob Mitchell Manager, Jennifer McCilia, Carla Rosenbaum
  • Major Boys: Tex Seaton Manager, Duane Meiers, BJ Leary
  • Major Girls: Greg Hill Manager, Joe Needles
  • Junior Boys: Jake Ginn Manager, John Deyoung, Brian Larson
  • Senior Boys: Gordon Booi, Jed Sandeval
  • Senior Girls: Decided elsewhere.

All Star Teams!

Players for the All-Star Teams will be selected in the following manner:

  • Any player, age 9 through 16 on a Minor-Major-Junior-Senior level team wishing to be considered for the All Star Team is asked to sign a commitment form. If a player cannot commit for the entire month of July, he/she should discuss the situation with the team manager prior to returning the form. If your child has other plans, check and see if there is a possibility of working around a schedule. Please don’t take the spot from another child who would be able to participate the entire time the team is playing.
  • Every team that has players trying out for all stars has one vote per player. These coaches get to vote for either 8 or 9 players depending on whether or not you are going to have 12 or 13 on your team.
  • The manager (with help from his or her assistants) gets to pick the final four.

Players will be assessed an additional fee for participation. This covers the cost of the all-star hat, uniform shirt, and socks that players keep. That fee is currently $45. Pants and belts will be provided and must be returned at the end of play. All fees must be paid to the manager prior to the beginning of play. Purchase of jackets and pictures is optional.

It is important to remember that should a team win state they will travel to regional play and possibly beyond. Generally World Series play ends in mid to late August. These teams are selected to play to win and advance. Players minimum mandatory playing times are minimal and all players need to realize that it is possible to just play the minimums.
